The belonging to the <em>Aemilia tribus<\/em> suggests his provenience from<br \/>\ncentral Italy.<br \/>\n3<br \/>\nInscription on a limestone slab<br \/>\nAlba (1985)<br \/>\n221-217 AC<br \/>\nDedication in honour of the Emperor Caracalla offered by the town Alba Pompeia. He is the<br \/>\nSeptimius Severus\u2019 son, Marcus Aurelius\u2019 nephew, Antoninus Pius\u2019 grand-nephew, Hadrianus,<br \/>\nTraianus and Nerva\u2019s descendant. In addition to his dynasty, also the enemies he defeated are<br \/>\nindicated.<br \/>\nIt probably constitutes a dedication offered to the Emperor <em>pro salute et reditu<\/em>, at times of the<br \/>\nmilitary campaign against the Parthians dated back to 214 AC.<br \/>\n4<br \/>\nInscription on marble slab<br \/>\nAlba<br \/>\nEnd I, beginning II century AC<br \/>\nThe elegant handwriting suggests the provenience of this fragment from a monumental inscription<br \/>\n5<br \/>\nAlba, Ospedale road (<em>Coppa<\/em> house)<br \/>\nEnd I-middle part II century AC<br \/>\nInscription positioned probably on a public monument offered by a private citizens or by the<br \/>\npopulation of Alba Pompeia to an unknown patrician who had given generously money and<br \/>\nprovisions of food on the day of the inauguration of the monument.<br \/>\n6<br \/>\nInscription on a marble slab<br \/>\nThe few letters preserved are not enough to suggest an interpretation.<br \/>\n7<br \/>\nInscription on a marble slab<br \/>\nAlba, Provvidenza Road (nursery school, 1903)<br \/>\nEnd I, beginning II century AC<br \/>\nTwo letters preserved refer to a public monumental inscription because of their large dimensions<br \/>\nand their delicate carving<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Black board 2, theatre room 1 Inscription on marble slab Alba II century AC Ex-voto for the Publilio or Publicio\u2019s return offered by one or two persons from the servile class.
