\nThe numismatic collection<\/strong>
\nHere you have a selection of the numismatic collection of the museum. The presence of this
\ncollection is linked to the Federico\u2019s Eusebio studies, who noted the origins of each artefact,
\npreserving them into a specific wooden bag. Other contributes to the formation of the collection
\ndate back to the 1930s and to the 1940s, though the last one (63 coins) goes back to the 1977 after
\nthe Giuseppe\u2019s Gallizio death. The latter nucleus lacks precise information about its origin. The
\ncollection represents the ancient monetary circulation in this environment, even if there can be
\nfound some foreign elements.
\nPrecious metal coins, with a consequently high commercial value, are absent: only copper alloy
\ncoins have been found in Alba and they constituted part of the daily small changes.
\nThe rare Publius\u2019 Elvius Pertinax coining had a particular importance here, its birth city. He was
\nborn in Alba Pompeia and the collection houses also a modern copy of it, produced by fusion
\n(n.36).
