The Peutinger’s Tabula
The Peutinger’s Tabula is a copy of a road map of the Roman Empire. The original map probably
dates back to the third or fourth century AC and it was thought for military use. The copy has been
drawn by the German humanist Konrad Peutinger in 1507. On the tabula Alba Pompeia is along the
roadway that connected Pollentia (Pollenzo) to Acquae Statiellae (Acqui Terme).
