General planimetry of the town superimposed upon the current historical city centre
The current historical centre of Alba constitutes the final step of the continuous overlap of the buildings from
the Roman foundation to nowadays, crossing the several medieval and modern transformations.
It is a typical case of a city that has experienced a continuous development. The archaeological excavations
permit to know this long history even more deeply.
