Near Clavesana there is the first giant bench of the ‘Big Bench’ project, it was placed in 2010 and is a branch of the route; today there are a total of 335 giant furnishings distributed outside regional and national borders as well.
The Big Benches, giant benches, originated in Piedmont at the behest of U.S. designer Chris Bangle, who wanted to urge adults to rediscover the art of wonder by observing the land through the eyes of children.
Always located in scenic spots on publicly accessible land, the giant benches are part of a collective experience that everyone can experience once seated, with legs suspended in the void and feeling small, one can admire the landscape with a new look.
The project, supported only by private donations, makes it possible to support local communities and artisans, as well as promote quality tourism.
